VivaAerobus to connect Cancun with two new destinations

CANCÚN — In early June VivaAerobus will launch new service connecting Cancun with Querétaro and Ciudad Juárez.

The low-cost carrier’s plans include six new domestic routes from Cancun, Guadalajara and Monterrey. From Cancun, VivaAerobus will fly to Queretaro starting June 8 with three weekly frequencies.

Flight VB9414 will depart from Cancun to Querétaro 12:20 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; Flight VB9415 is scheduled to leave Querétaro at 3 pm on the same days.

While in Ciudad Juárez, the low-cost airline will operate a weekly frequency every Saturday from June 10; Flight VB4170 will leave Cancún at 6:40 am and Ciudad Juárez is scheduled for flight VB4173a at 9:50.

Sale of tickets

All flights will be operated with Airbus A320 equipment, configured with 180 seats in a single class. The sale of tickets for such routes is now available on the airline’s website.

Meanwhile, from Monterrey, the airline will fly to Tijuana with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while to Ciudad Obregon, it will fly with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Both routes will begin on June 20.

VivaAerobus will operate two weekly frequencies to Los Cabos.

For this summer the airline plans to offer 22% more seats than in the same period last year, making available more than 5.7 million seats.

With these new routes, VivaAerobus offers a total of 67 routes and 30 destinations.

This week, VivaAerobus also announced its operating results for the month of April, when it carried 665,986 passengers, an increase of 57.6% over the same period last year. The occupation factor reached 91%, an increase of 14.7 percentage points compared to the same period in 2016.
