VivaAerobus seeks to offer new Cancún-US routes

The Mexican Caribbean is the powerful engine of the Mexican tourism industry and this great moment that Quintana Roo is living is a big window of opportunity for the ultra-low cost airline, Viva Aerobus, to position itself among travelers from the Southeastern United States.

New routes will open from Cancún to Cincinnati, Charlotte and Nashville, these three cities will increase the number of available seats for travelers and offer more accessible fares.

“We celebrate a great step in the expansion and diversification of our offer, reaching 101 routes: 89 national and 12 international to 43 destinations, we are proud of an uninterrupted expansion at unbeatable prices because, above all, it means real opportunities and savings so that everyone can fly, “said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.


The airline has renewed its fleet with 28 Airbus A320 aircraft.

Viva Aerobus has had an aggressive expansion plan on national and international routes. In the specific case from Cancun, it already flies to 15 Mexican and 5 international destinations.

The incursion to these markets of the Southeastern United States is in the hands of Vacation Express, a tour operator with an important presence in that region of United States. The alliance seeks to generate a more active movilization of people between both nations.

The routes will begin operations, for Cincinnati on December 1 2018, and for Charlotte and Nashville on February 16 2019.
