On Friday October 20, a man was killed in Colonia Valle Verde. Gun shots were reported against a house in Región 219 and there was an attack on a nightclub in Supermanzana 234, where three women were injured, all of these incedents took place in Cancun, Quintana Roo.

While on Saturday October 21, in Playa del Carmen, one man was killed in Colonia Ejidal and another was shot at the doors of a bar. Although the second victim survived the attack, he was shot again while he was being transferred to the hospital.

In Tulum, a presumed leader of the squatters was assassinated in a house in “Colonia 2 de Octubre“.

In another incident allegedly unrelated to criminal violence, two Argentine tourists died after an explosion in Playa del Carmen.

And then on Monday October 23, three people were gunned down in Supermanzana 102, Manzana 96 Avenida 145, Cancun, according to a preliminary report.

According to witnesses, the victims were in the aforementioned direction, when unknown subjects attacked them with firearms.

The facts were reported to the authorities, who later arrived to verify the presence of three seriously people. One of these received an impact near the right eye, so his condition is critical. The other two victims were also injured in different parts of the body.

It should be noted that the events occurred in front of a police station, without the cause being known.

One of the wounded, named Julio N, sells food ina street stand, located in front of the Cancun detention facility, according to reports.

Police officers cordoned off the area, but no arrests have been made in relation to this incident.
