V Rally Maya Mexico starts off with Cozumel tour

The fifth edition of the Rally Maya Mexico, a test of resistance and regularity for classic and collection cars, will be held from May 24 to June 1 2018, starting in Cozumel, Quintana Roo.

The rally consists of six stages of resistance and regularity that will serve first of all to promote the countless beauties of the Yucatan Peninsula throughout the world.

The competition also includes a contest of elegance featuring 100 vehicles in competition, These cars date of manufacture goes from 1915 to 1975.

The organizers explained that this year, the first stage the Rally Maya Mexico will start with a tour of the island of Cozumel, in commemoration of the 500 years of its foundation, and will continue on the mainland of the Peninsula, reaching sites of extreme beauty and interest within the states of Yucatan and Quintana Roo.

The Rally Maya Mexico is registered in the Federation Internationale de L’Automobile (FIA), within the official calendar of the Federation Internationale Vehicules Anciens (FIVA) and valid in the Mexican Federation of Antique and Collection Automobiles (FMAAC).

In addition to the international promotional power that the Maya Rally offers in favor of Southeastern Mexico, it is a competition of deep altruistic vocation.

100 wheelchairs will be delivered to children affected by diabetes as well as 50 new generation hearing aids. The donations are made through renowned altruistic organizations, that work in favor of the most needed communities along the 1,200 kilometers of the route of this singular competition.

The organizers are expecting the participation of crews from Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Germany, France, the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica and representatives from 17 different states of the Mexico for the V edition of the Maya Rally Mexico.

So far, 75% of the registrations have been confirmed.
