Tulum needs to obtain international awards once again
Entrepreneurs who in past years were proud of Tulum’s beaches, positioned as some of the best in the Caribbean, Latin America and the world, are now seeking again those certificates awarded by world renown organizations such as Traveler’s Choice Tripadvisor.
In 2009, Tulum won the World Travel Awards for having the best beaches, an award that the destination is desperate to get again, as its beaches were affected this year by the massive arrival of sargassum.
The ninth municipality has the possibility of being awarded again, as long as its beaches receive meticulous attention.
“The beaches of Tulum maintain their natural charm, the eventual arrival of sargassum to our coasts is not a reason to lose the designation, on the contrary we have to give it the proper importance it deserves,” said businessman Mario Cruz Rodríguez.
Another of the most outstanding awards that Tulum has had is the Traveler’s Choice award, from Tripadvisor, one of the most important platforms for tourist qualifications and recommendations at the international level.
