Tourists migrate to Cozumel due to seaweed invasion in Playa and Cancun

As birds, tourists migrate to Cozumel, the Island of Swallows, fleeing from the ghost of sargassum because the seaweed has not invaded the beaches of  this island, and the water is still crystalline, as seen in postcards and travel agency posters.

This was announced by the provider of tourist services in the central area of the coastal strip of this holiday destination, Gabriel Reséndiz, who reported that as a result of the sargassum ivasion in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen, many travelers have opted to move to Cozumel instead of staying in the continental zone of the Mexican Caribbean.

Resendiz stated that the complaints are simply logical, since many of these tourists have crossed half the world to get to Playa del Carmen, and once they get there, they find the coastal strip covered in seaweed, on the shore and in the water, while they were expecting to see pristine beaches and turquoise blue ocean instead.
