Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — A 15-year-old teenage boy has died by drowning inside a vacation rental property. The accident was made public Friday, a day after the holiday accident.

According to information obtained, the drowning was reported at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5th, inside a rental vacation property by others inside the unit.

There are reports that the young man had been consuming alcoholic beverages at the time of the accident, however, that has not been confirmed by authorities.

Due to this age, his identity has not been revealed. Authorities have also not publicly commented on the nationality of the victim.
