Quintana Roo police officers receive certificate issued by Ministry of the Interior
On August 16, the first group of 200 Quintana Roo state police officers will receive the Single Police Certificate (CUP) required by the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (Sesnsp) of the Ministry of the Interior.
Rodolfo del Angel Campos, Secretary of Public Security (SSP), reported that 400 state police officers have fully complied with the requirements of the CUP.
The Secretary noted that in addition to the 400 police officers who already met the requirements, 300 more are currently in the process of certification by the state police, with the goal of reaching a total of 700certified agents, before the end of 2018.
He added that they expect to comply with 50% of certifications during 2018, and 100% by 2019.

“Our commitment is to count with well trained police officers for the benefit of the people of Quintana Roo, we are working to ensure the safety of those who live in this state and the only way to achieve this is through constant training,” he said.
Del Angel Campos, indicated that to achieve the CUP, the officers must comply with the bases established in the tests of Confidence Control, Initial or Equivalent Training, Evaluation of Basic or Professional Competencies and Performance Evaluation.
According to the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (Sesnsp) of the Ministry of the Interior, the SSP has a deadline to certify all its agents before September 2019.
