Quintana Roo leader in job generation
In the third quarter of this year, Quintana Roo is the State that leads in job generation, with 345 percent of the target set for 2018, because during the third semester of 2018, a total of 43,968 jobs were created, against a goal of 12,750.
According to the recent study of the association known as “Mexico How We Go”, which is an initiative featuring a group of experts in economics, committed to driving accelerated and sustained growth of the country, Quintana Roo is one of the 11 states that exceeded their goal of employment generation in the third quarter of this year.
However, percentage is much higher than those that follow, which are Querétaro, with 244 percent; Baja California, 225 percent; Baja California Sur, 202 percent and Aguascalientes, 188 percent. These states, along with Nuevo León, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Tamaulipas and Guanajuato, have a green light indicator in that subject.
Meanwhile, until the third quarter of 2017, Campeche registered the best labor productivity index with 679 pesos per hour worked. Quintana Roo obtained 158 pesos per hour worked and Yucatán occupied the last place in the Peninsula with 124 pesos per hour worked, way below the national average which is 162 pesos.
