Puerto Morelos conquers the Tourism Tianguis of Mexico, Mazatlan 2018, with a wide range of attractions for the coming summer and winter vacations, to guarantee excellent hotel occupations and a significant economic spill for the local community.

Prior to the start of the main showcase of tourism promotion in the country, the Puerto Morelos delegation scheduled more than 40 business appointments with large national and international tour operators, interested in the offer of this Mexican Caribbean destination.

In this framework, the destination will receive the “S” Distinction from the Federal Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur), granted specifically to the Municipal Palace, the first in the entire country to generate less solid waste, separate garbage and reduce the consumption of electricity, thanks to its sustainability practices.

In that sense, the Grand Residence Hotel will receive the “Premium Luxury” award, granted by Sectur in coordination with the Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico (CPTM), within the Diversification Award of the Mexican Tourism Product.

It is worth mentioning that for the first time, Puerto Morelos will be promoted by itself within the range of destinations in Quintana Roo, as previously it was offered within the Cancun packages and later the Riviera Maya, without being mentioned in tourist campaigns and slogans.

The Puerto Morelos delegation is headed by the municipal director of tourism, Hector Tamayo Sanchez, who among other activities met with representatives of the renowned agency Viator, which offers more than 30 activities in Cancun, but many of them take place in Puerto Morelos. The company’s website will feature the Puerto Morelos stamp.
