PROFECO verifies quality of service at the Cancun International Airport

Inspectors of the Federal Procurator’s Office of the Consumer (Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor: Profeco), verify the quality of the services offered at the Cancun International Airport.

Deputy Services Dependent of the agency, Maria de los Angeles Jasso Cisneros, led a tour and inspection by the terminal, along with the state delegate, Xavier de Jesús Rosado Martínez.

The official revealed that the visit is part of the “Vacational and Tourism Program 2018”, which involves verification and monitoring of the distribution of informational brochures in Spanish, English and French, as well as the placement of “banners” with general information for travelers.

She added that up to date, more than 30 consumers have been served in the service modules installed at the Cancun International Airport (AIC), providing advisory services, information and immediate conciliation of complaints presented.

Jasso Cisneros also said that the operation began on June 22 and will conclude on August 19 and is part of other actions such as the work program in coordination with the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT), with operators and administrators of airports, as well as the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the National Air Transportation Chamber (CANAERO), in order to raise awareness of the great importance of providing a high quality service to all tourists, foreign and national.
