In this regard, the delegation of Profeco informed that the objective is to verify the correct commercial behavior of suppliers of goods and services in the island; such as, restaurants, hotels, craft shops, convenience stores, self-service stores, tortillerías, among others.

n that sense, the agency reported that so far they have carried out six verification visits in the island, and as a result of the inspections, they have placed more than eight seals of suspensionto four difeerent businesses, since they have not complied with the regulations established in the Federal Consumer Protection Law.

These businesses had been sanctioned due to the irregularity of not visibly exhibiting prices of their goods, in addition to not exhibiting the exchange rate of the foreign currency.

Profeco indicated that these actions reflect the work that has been carried out by the service module located on the island; after receiving the citizen complaint from local consumers, in which they stated that Profeco had not carried out an operation of this type for two years.
