Playa del Carmen is a safe destination: CANIRAC
The National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac) of Playa del Carmen launched an information campaign focused on highlighting security and public safety in this international tourist destination considered the heart of the Riviera Maya.
“The city is super quiet, there is absolutely no risk; tourists can come just as they have been doing over the years, to enjoy our cuisine, theme parks, nightlife and diving.”
“The majority of our visitors are foreigners and we see that despite the alerts, tourists act normally because they see that the city is at peace, it is calm and there are just a few isolated events, not in the tourist zone”, said the president of the organization, Manuel García Maldonado.
