Low cost luxury in the Riviera Maya
Often times people will see some of the Hollywood stars enjoying a villa stay in Riviera Maya. Photos of high-end hotels, expensive restaurants and private parties flood the internet.
However, Riviera Maya can be an affordable place for all to enjoy, no matter the budget. Just follow these tips when planning a vacation to the Yucatan Peninsula.
Consider Time of Travel
Many people from the chillier areas of the US tend to flock to Riviera Maya during the winter months. Springtime can also be a busy season with children and college students on break from school.
Think about planning a trip during the off-season, between May and August. Not only will the flight and resort prices be lower, but there will also be fewer crowds.

Try Out a Day Pass
Sometimes a fancy resort catches the eye, but the price is way out of the budget. There is always the option to stay the week at a moderately priced hotel and visit the wish list option for a day.
Most resorts allow visitors to purchase a day pass to be able to enjoy all the amenities without actually booking the whole stay there.
Book Early
Last minute deals are sometimes the case, but for the most part hotel prices will rise as the time of travel gets closer.
Plan the vacation ahead of time so an early booking rate can be locked in. Most tour operators will bundle a full itinerary to bring down the price as well.
