Let’s dance at the ‘International Salsa Festival’!
The Zenzi restaurant and dance schools, with the support of the Government of Solidaridad, held the First International Salsa Festival at the City Theater of Playa del Carmen, with the purpose of providing public spaces for students and teachers of this musical genre which brought together representatives from countries such as Argentina, Korea, Spain, Italy, Japan and Mexico.

According to information in a communiqué, during the event, Municipal official, Cristina Torres Gómez, pointed out that “what is communicated with art, always reaches the heart and soul”, since dialogue is held with the public through movements and music.
She celebrated that the organizers of the First Salsa Festival have taken the stage of the City Theater to carry out this activity that unites the families.
Torres Gómez also invited local participants to strengthen the social cohesion by offering Salsa classes to children with disabilities from the municipal DIF, who are eager to show their skills in public spaces.
The First International Salsa Festival was attended by the City Theater Coordinator, Rosi Valdéz, and the organizers represented by the citizen Margarita García.
The salsa schools in Playa del Carmen that participated are: Encubate, N Mambo, Playa Casino, Playambo, Son y Son de Peru. These groups are precursors of this rhythm and are continually inviting the local population to practice it.
