Governor Carlos Joaquín announces 150 million peso investment for urban development in Chetumal
The Government of the State of Quintana Roo allocates almost 150 million pesos to contribute to the urban improvement and public services of the state capital through the “Juntos Renovemos Chetumal” program (Together let’s renovate Chetumal), which contemplates joint actions to repair and repave streets, street lamps and collection of garbage. It’s a campaign commitment, for the whole southern part of the state.
“This investment serves to help the capital to have a better image and so that together we can advance in offering better public services to the people of Chetumal,” said governor Carlos Joaquín, noting that the coordinated work between the different levels of government allows them to advance together, and to boost economic development, generate employment and improve social development in the city of Chetumal.
During the event, the head of the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Transportation (SINTRA) William Conrado Alarcón announced that in this administration, from 2016 to 2018, the municipality of Othon P. Blanco has received 347 million pesos, of which 277 million pesos have been already invested in infrastructure works.
