Today, El Cid Vacations Club would like to highlight to help its members by highlighting two enchanting Mayan sites in the Riviera Maya.

One of the most popular local Mayan sites in the Riviera Maya is Chichen Itza. When travelers see a picture of Kukulan’s pyramid at Chichen Itza, they will immediately recognize this ancient Mayan site, however, seeing the pyramid up close is a unique experience that must be appreciated first hand. When travelers visit Chichen Itza they will discover several tour options, and it is recommended that the stroll through ancient city with a guide who will provide them with information about the history of the site and insights on the Mayan culture. There is plenty to explore at Chichen Itza since the site not only includes the famous pyramid but is also home to nearly 30 other ancient buildings and structures that still stand as a reminder of the once great Mayan city.

Some of the ancient structures that visitors will explore at this site include El Castillo and the House of Columns. There are also several more buildings at the site including ancient temples, all of which are a wonder to see up close.
