Chetumal will have new recreational spaces to promote tourism

Chetumal, Quintana Roo.- At least 5 projects for the creation of tourist spaces in the state capital are programmed by the State Tourism Secretariat, which would be built in the area between the Bay Boulevard and the community of Calderitas with an estimated investment of 15 million pesos.

Marisol Vanegas Pérez, Secretary of Tourism of Quintana Roo, explained that these projects labeled for Chetumal and Calderitas include the construction of 3 docks for nautical activities on the Bay Boulevard and the creation of walkways or boardwalks in the community of Calderitas that must be completed before the end of 2018.

She added that in the Museum of Miscegenation (Museo del Mesitizaje), video mapping shows will continue, and an elevator that will take visitors from the first to the third floor will be installed, because these spaces for the recreation must be “inclusive” for all sectors of the population, including handicap or senior citizens.
