Avocados From Mexico is launching  a bundle of promotions leading up to the Super Bowl.

One particularly large investment in that area will be another 30-second commercial during the big game Feb. 5, according to a news release.

In-store promotions will include a Guac Center pallet bin that has side pockets, giving retailers the option to merchandise other guacamole ingredients alongside avocados. Those items might include onions, limes, tomatoes or jalapenos.

The big displays are intended to catch the attention of the many shoppers who make an extra trip to stock up for Super Bowl parties they are hosting or attending.

One of the digital elements of the Guac Nation campaign is Catalina Buyer Vision, which will deliver print-at-home coupons that let customers save $1 if they buy two avocados and an Old El Paso dinner kit or the brand’s taco shells or tortillas. The same deal will be available through the Ibotta app.

This is the third year Avocados From Mexico has partnered with Old El Paso on Super Bowl promotions.

Customers at Hispanic stores will be able to save $1 if they buy three avocados. Game-themed bins will be part of the in-store presentation.

Another part of the marketing push is prizes for consumers and retailers. A grand-prize winner will receive a prize pack valued at $5,000, while 60 others will receive $250 gift cards. Retailers can also win prizes for innovative displays of avocados.

Avocados From Mexico is also touting a new recipe developed by Old El Paso, Avocado Jalapeno Popper Boats, with paid posts on Pinterest and Facebook.

The promotions run through the day of the Super Bowl.
