10 tourists rescued from the ocean in Cancun and Isla Mujeres

On Sunday 25, the first day of the Easter holidays, ten Mexican visitors were rescued by elements of the Secretariat of the Navy, that helped them out of the sea. The support was provided at Playa Delfines, in the hotel zone of Cancún, and North of the Isla Mujeres Magical Town.

The Secretariat of the Navyof Mexico informed that naval personnel assigned to their V Naval Region based in this island, rescued, in different actions, 10 people of Mexican nationality, three women and seven men.

In a statement, the V Naval Region reported that Operation Lifesaver “Holy Week 2018” deployed at the aid stations of Playa Delfines in Cancun and Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres, observed that people who were supposedly performing recreational activities in the sea, presented difficulties to go get back to the shore.

Therefore, they immediately proceeded to rescue them, providing them with the corresponding medical attention, and they were all found in good health.

The same federal agency, in coadyuvance with the authorities of the three levels of government, recommended to those who visit this tourist destination, to follow the instructions of civil protection personnel.
